Meet Anahid Storn: an insider's journey

My career journey began by mastering operational problems across 15 physician practices, providing a frontline perspective on healthcare delivery. This foundation led me to a decade at Genentech, building expertise in early clinical development and flow cytometry, followed by five years at Amgen managing clinical programs and strategic operations within late clinical development. Most recently, as Chief of Staff to CMO-level leadership at Prothena and Bolt, I standardized reporting and decision-making infrastructures, reclaiming approximately 40% of leadership's operational time for strategic portfolio decisions. This experience solidified my belief: the most effective operational infrastructure is invisible, empowering leaders and teams to perform at their best. With an M.Sc. in Biology from Saint Joseph College and a B.S. from San Francisco State University, my scientific background enables me to engage deeply with the research while architecting the systems that translate it into execution. Today, I partner with growth-phase biotech and biopharma organizations, addressing clinical complexity, functional integration, and operational infrastructure gaps to unlock strategic potential.

Our unique approach: expertise that transforms

What sets The RightHand Strategy apart? Our distinct approach is rooted in a rare dual perspective. Having managed physician practice operations and spent 15+ years building clinical program infrastructure at Genentech and Amgen, I understand how operational decisions ripple across the entire clinical ecosystem. We don't just optimize; we build scalable operational systems—governance structures, reporting frameworks, and decision-making protocols designed to grow with your organization. This 'invisible infrastructure' isn't a quick fix; it's a lasting solution. Furthermore, holding advanced degrees in biology, I bridge the gap between scientific credibility and operational expertise. I engage substantively with your scientific teams, ensuring our operational strategies are truly aligned with your research and development goals.

Partnering for impact: your success is our measure

Working with The RightHand Strategy means I embed directly into your leadership ecosystem, not as an external auditor but as a strategic partner. This is applied, iterative, and hands-on work—sitting in meetings, understanding your real constraints, and building systems alongside you. While I bring opinions grounded in extensive experience, your strategic input is paramount; we build together. I thrive working with CMOs and leaders who are ready to invest in systems for long-term compounding benefits, are honest about operational gaps, committed to execution, and value a transparent, close partnership. You can expect direct conversation, respect for your time, partnership on decisions, and grounded, practical advice. Discretion, clarity over comfort, and practical results define our collaboration. Ultimately, your wins are the goal: reclaimed time, faster decisions, advancing programs, and resilient teams.
